Credit Cards

Credit Cards are a means of financing day to day purchases. However, this type of finance is expensive. Typically, rates that banks charge on a credit card are higher than that on other loans, say mortgages. Government stamp duty is charged on credit cards at €40 per annum.
The criteria for judging which card is best for you can be based on APR, balance transfers or other offers depending on you circumstances. We have used APR.

There are 20 credit card providers in Ireland.
